It is thicker than many other supertypes of glue so it is easier to use and only a small amount of glue bonds quickly. Goat Tuff is the go-to glue for arrow making and repairing, but is also suitable for many household repairs including rubber weatherproofing, broken china, leather shoes and other leather products and wooden furniture. It contains no solvents and is nonflammable. When using Goat Tuff, you need to make sure both areas to be glued are clean. The bottle should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight, but not refrigerated.
The rubber, or elastomer, consists of polymers which are connected through vulcanization and adopt elastic characteristics at room temperature. There are a great number of these elastomers and they all can differ in their polymer structure, polarity, and surface properties. This makes elastomers and rubber so difficult to bond. Elastomeric substrates are often bonded with solvent-based adhesives or with cyanoacrylates.
How to use this product Ensure the surfaces to be joined are close fitting, clean, dry and free of dust. Pierce seal at end of adhesive tube by attaching nozzle and cap and turning clockwise. Remove cap and apply a very small amount of glue to one surface only. Bring surfaces together and apply slight pressure.
